Do Not Drink ... Wager

If you prefer to indulge in an alcoholic beverage every so often, leave your cash at home if you intend to do your drinking in a betting house. I'm not joking. clean out your handbag, your money belt, and leave all money, debit cards and chequebooks at home. Take just the money you intend to use on alcohol, tipping and whatever loose change you plan on loosing and keep the rest behind.

Contemptuous? Not really. Practical more like. You may well discover a success after a drunken evening out with your friends and be lucky enough to hit a marathon roll at a smokin craps table. Hang on to that adventure because it is as short-lived as it gets if you constantly drink and gamble. The two simply don't mix.

Leaving your cash at home is a little dramatic, however, preventative actions for dramatic behavior is relative and necessary. If you bet to succeed, then don't consume alcohol and play. If you can afford to toss away your money without a worry, then drink all the no charge alcohol your gut can handle, but don't take debit cards and chequebooks to throw into the combination of going after losses after your inebriated brain squanders all the cash!
